The Modular Disc Vault imports and houses up to 100 Blu-ray Discs, making these movies available for instant playback. Kaleidescape requires a Blu-ray Disc to be present for playback, but the physical disc need not be read, accessed, or handled because the movie is copied to and played from a Kaleidescape server. Simply connect the vault to an M300 Player or M500 Player with a USB cable and insert your discs. Up to 100 Blu-ray Discs can be imported automatically. To eject a disc, just select the movie on the onscreen display and choose Eject Disc. If a Blu-ray Disc is removed, the system cannot play the movie until the disc is reinserted. The Modular Disc Vault is a third-party carousel with firmware and other modifications by Kaleidescape. Several disc vaults can be added to a Kaleidescape System to accommodate large collections of Blu-ray Discs, but each vault must be connected to its own M-Class player. Any player in a system can play a Blu-ray movie housed in any disc vault.
